We are continuing our series on how a chiropractic pain relief center treats carpal tunnel syndrome. Our previous article discussed the importance of conducting a complete examination to determine if the median nerve is compressed. We also talked about implementing chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy. Today, we will look at three more treatments your chiropractor may use to treat carpal tunnel syndrome.
ART can be used to treat carpal tunnel syndrome in some cases. We begin by evaluating the soft tissues including nerves, ligaments, fascia, muscles and tendons. Abnormalities are treated by using directed tension combined with specific patient movements.
There are certain exercises that have proven effective in treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Shake and flick, forearm stretches, and church steeple are among some of the most effective exercises to help relieve carpal tunnel pain. If exercise is part of your treatment plan, we will work with you to determine and demonstrate the exercises that are most effective for your condition.
Ergonomics can play a large role in helping alleviate carpal tunnel symptoms. We can work with you to demonstrate how you can make your home and workspace more ergonomically friendly.
